ELECTRICAL ENGINEER or ELECTRICAL DESIGNER

JOB LOCATION:  Los Angeles, CA or Ventura, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned projects and collaborating with architects, outside engineering consultants, building code officials, manufacturers, contractors, vendors, developers, and clients.

Candidate must be a positive team player, be personable, and a clear communicator. Attentiveness to clients’ needs is critical. An ideal candidate will match the company’s relaxed, collaborative office culture.

Engineers and designers shall perform tasks related to the preparation of construction documents including:

  • Design of normal and emergency power distribution, power and lighting layout, and circuiting

  • Develop one-line diagrams, perform load calculations and energy and electrical code analysis

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry experience

  • Designers: fifteen years or more of professional experience

  • Engineers: bachelor’s degree in engineering, ABET-accredited university, ten or more years of professional experience

  • Advanced engineering knowledge related to building electrical system design

  • Proficient use of a variety of software including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure

  • Working engineering knowledge related to mechanical and plumbing systems

  • Experience in electrical design for commercial and multi-family residential projects

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (P.E.)

JOB LOCATION:  Tucson, AZ

JOB DESCRIPTION: Professional Engineers plan, organize, and control the engineering activities of a project within a professional discipline to best accomplish the successful completion of all projects assigned. Operating within the guidelines established by the Director of Engineering and within the policies and procedures established by the firm. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned projects and collaborating with architects, outside engineering consultants, building code officials, manufacturers, contractors, vendors, developers, and clients. P.E.’s manage and assign tasks to engineering designers and interns and perform QA/QC on all project documents.

P.E. Candidate must be a positive team player, be personable, and be a clear communicator. Attentiveness to clients’ needs is critical. An ideal candidate will match the company’s relaxed, collaborative office culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry experience

  • 5 years or more of professional experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, ABET-accredited university

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure

  • Engineering knowledge related to building systems and multiple building types

  • Proficient use of a variety of software including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office

STRUCTURAL DESIGNER

JOB LOCATION:  Cleveland, OH

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Structural Designer is responsible for design and drafting that meet the client’s requirements and expectations while conforming to appropriate Codes and Standards.  The preparation of construction documents includes:

  • Analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and light gage structures

  • Analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations

  • Design of connections and construction details

  • Framing plans, Foundation plans, Building elevations and sections

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of experience in structural design and drafting of buildings or other structures

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, ABET-accredited university preferred but not required

  • Proficient use of a variety of software including, but not limited to Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit, Microsoft Office,  Bluebeam

  • Possible use of a variety of software including, but not limited to, SketchUp, Visual Analysis, RAM Structural, FTP programs/utilities, Procore

  • The ability to perform structural surveys of existing buildings anywhere in the country is a plus.
